During the late 70s, Hans W. Mende photographed the farmer life of his grandparents on their small farm in Wesermarsch. He documented their everyday work, slow changes in processes that become apparent over the years and the difficult farewell at the end of a long life.

The photograph series is a great documentation of time, which, in an unsentimental yet touching way, broaches the issue of the relationship between man and nature and the volatileness of life.
