Rama Lama Ding Dong
by Yusuke Yamatani
Photographs: Yusuke Yamatani
Publisher: selfpublished
82 pages
Year: 2015
Comments: Hardcover, 18,8 × 24,6 cm
Rama Lama Ding Dong brings together images captured during Yusuke Yamatan's honeymoon with his wife Emi. Known for his photographs of communities and individuals who live outside of the mainstream, this is the photographer's fifth publication following his well received Tsugi no yoru e; which chronicled the subcultural scene of Osaka city. Opening with a short introduction; "this is my honeymoon in the summer of 2014", this is a visual portrayal of the newlywed couple's one month long journey across Japan, beginning in Hokkaido and ending in Kyushu. This beautifully bound hardcover photo book is a record of both Yamatani's past and future memories, reflecting the photographers's recurring theme of freedom.
