Kazuto Ishikawa's “Humanity”series addresses the issue of identity in our information-based society.
Ishikawa prints photographs of his subjects with large amounts of ink and layers the images while the ink is still wet. The ink mixes together and the outlines of his subjects become blurred. The resulting vivid colors represent the identities of Ishikawa's subjects. His analog production method adds an added layer to the works.
