When one speaks about "the middle of the night", the time often referred to is 3 a.m. Except for the travelers who are rushing to catch the red-eye flights and the taxi drivers taking them to the airport, as well as the early rising bakers and the occoasinal late night party goer wondering the strees, almost everyone else is laying in thier pillows, deep into sleep.

Yet, in this dead of night a wide awake artist has produced a series of powerful night portraits of the sleeping Macedonian capital. His new art project has an elliptic and quite effective title: "At 3 a.m.". This title is not (just) indicative of the time of night when the photographs of Skopje may have been taken. This temporal sequence is also a parameter of the spiritual state and the time we live in, which the author of this project has chosen (or it has chosen him) for his artistic chronotope.
